“From Vision to Legacy: Carrying the Maestro’s Philosophy into the Future of Aesthetic Dentistry”
Digital technology has transformed aesthetic dentistry, but excellence has never been purely digital. This presentation reflects on how CAD/CAM workflows become truly effective only when guided by human perception, artistic sensitivity, and experience—remaining faithful to the principles of Oral Design, where technology supports vision, but never replaces it.

``Esthetic essentials: focus on what matters``
I first met Willi Geller in 1990. His concept of OralDesign changed my perspective on dental technology and inspired and influenced many of my decisions. In my presentation, I will discuss what I consider most important 35 years after this initial encounter in implementing the OralDesign concept in everyday practice and keeping it alive for the future.

Aesthetics is the harmonious fusion of beauty and art. Aesthetics, in dentistry, is a game of balance between teeth, soft tissue, lips, face person and personality. In order to produce aesthetic results that are closer to nature and really attractive, not fake and all alike (e.g. Stereotyped Smile), we need to develop artistic capacities, which everyone can improve by the comprehension of perception’s psychology.

We will try to speak about past and future of Oral Design through the guide of seven values.

``What matters``
It starts with like-minded people working together with the same values, understanding and ethics. This gives me freedom and strength and helps me to deliver the best possible results. Especially in our days in the era of digital dentistry, creativity and high-quality outcomes may seem easier than ever to achieve? Yet, behind every successful case lies a thoughtful process, where technology enhances, but never replaces the human element. Still the human aspect plays the main role: passion, talent, knowledge, love and creativity is needed and to go the extra mile is hard work too. I will give you a glimpse of my daily routine and my cases and what drives me.

If we look at our profession today we can see a lot of things which change during time. And sometime we felt the need to follow some new ideas or we need to change our material. But the question is if it is always good to follow new things. In this short lecture I want to show and explain you how I choose the right material and the right techinque for the right patient. Ask yourself the FOUR QUESTIONS.

Rather than focusing on techniques, I would like to express how a philosophy survives and grows when it is carried by people. It is a tribute to a legacy that continues not by standing still, but by moving forward.

``Presentation of a patient case I created in Mr. Geller's lab and how meeting him inspired me``
When I was 29 years old, I had the opportunity to work with Mr. Geller in his lab for just under three months. My work there was mainly focused on creating prototypes for Clarepearl (artificial teeth). Toward the end of my training, Mr. Geller told me, ``You've only worked on creating prototypes for artificial teeth, so you must be thirsty for ceramic crowns. So, you should try creating ceramic crowns yourself.`` He then handed me a patient case in which he created metal-ceramic crowns for two central incisors. In this lecture, I will explain the ceramic powder build-up process for this patient case, from the initial setup to the intraoral setting. Finally, I would like to show how my clinical cases were influenced by my encounter with Mr. Willli Geller.

Can a spark of inspiration change an entire life? Yes! In my case, it did. That spark was Willi Geller.In my presentation, I'd like to tell you more about this story, and one important question remains: how can we inspire future generations to achieve excellence in our wonderful profession?

``White and Pink Esthetic in Nature Balance``
Traditionally an unesthetic outcome for partially and edentulous patients with implant rehabilitations was created due to the excessive use of tooth colored ceramics and a limited utilization of soft-tissue colors. Using both tooth and soft tissue colored ceramics allows for a more desirable esthetic outcome by creating a mirror of pre- existing soft and hard tissue that was previously there. This type of treatment takes into account lip support and loss of biological tissues as well. Today, patients’ high esthetic demands require us to push the envelope of desire to recreate periodontal tissues and teeth once lost, in turn, giving restorations a more natural look with proper esthetic contours. In this lecture, I will explain to you what possible problems may present in highly esthetic demanding cases and how to solve them.
